The official word from Vadim on that is "I'm not sure." I'd say give him a bit more time, as there's been a healthy delay between rolling out a new pose and making an existing one available for free.

I wonder if the same will be true for the next release of a threesome pose? If, when they release, say, the next FFM pose, if the previous one will be free, in the same vein as with the MF poses

Doubtful, because when spooning and titjob were unlocked for free users, there were already "a lot" of poses for each gender(6 total each), so they most likely won't give out a free 3some so soon...

Would be nice if gays got some love for once since they're the neglected ones. At least lesbians have one pose. Gays should get at least one to start with too.
