I'd like to premise all this with the fact I do not normally share my writing like this. Like it or hate it, I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
As the waters crash onto the sands of the beach
So too does your visage in my memories.
Sometimes gentle, sometimes rough,
Sometimes low and sometimes high
Within your waters contain mysteries in the deep
Thoughts of what could have been, flashbacks of our past
With each moon rise, your power gets stronger over me
Haunting my dreams and my reality
Ghosts of you still whisper sweet nothings, chaining me to the past
Your smiles burned so perfectly that the pain is nothing
I see our reflection in pools of tears from the years
The final best possibility of what was to be us most bright
Eventually I fall from this sanctum of pain and pleasure
Watching you fade back into memory
Once more waiting to be unearth from the aether
By the crashing of waves to the shore.
