Hello people...
It's been weeks since I posted here; blame it on RL, mostly. The following poem, as usual, was inspired by my dearest Muse and the feelings of . Your comments are welcomed as always.

Wanting you

I miss you, angel of mercy flying above me…

    Hours pass, falling down like countless grains of sand
    Inexorably burying my heavy heart
    ‘Til I feel trapped in a windswept, desert wasteland
    Named solitude.Spending a single day apart

        From your tender embrace leaves my soul parched and dry,
        Like crackled, dried mud under the merciless glare
        Of the sun. Toiling at my daily chores, I try
        Vainly to occupy my mind and block despair;

I need you, source of solace, goddess so heavenly…

    Haunted by your smile, beguiled by your sweet laughter,
    I see you everywhere behind closed eyes, yearning
    For your presence. Even in my deepest slumber
    I follow the trail of your dream form, embracing

        The ghostly echo of your heavenly body,
        Feeling the phantom caress of your lips on mine,
        Whose pleasant aftertaste evokes pure ecstasy,
        Soft promise of blissful pleasure oh so divine;

I love you, soulmate of mine, for all eternity.

Ivan
very nice and lovely one Ivan, cheers
A wonderful and beautiful piece Ivan.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and am feeling many of the themes in your poem today.  So, timely for me also.
I like the transition of flowing sand to the parched desert; of it's weight burying you. It was an evocative image and, well for me, the beginning part was the strongest part. (I enjoyed reading the whole thing as well!)
Very nice IvanXLIV.  I love the ethereal theme.
