Bank Overhaul
#11
I think that's an excellent idea. Maybe Emmie can link long time premium players to the instructions for canceling monthly subs so it will be easier for us.

Jenna, keep in mind that this thread, like other suggestion threads, is for brainstorming, not policies that are going to be implemented without serious consideration first. Like how much money is in circulation, how the wealth is distributed, what percentage of players have bought cash and how much; actual data in addition to public opinion. There's nothing in this game one could reasonably put a luxury tax on anyway, except possibly high-value bank transfers, which would just push people back to stripper poles.

Of the ideas so far, login incentives seem like the soundest concept so far. Rich folks tend to be masochists as it is, if auctions are anything to go by, so there's no need to hardcode more pain.

In that case, to get things back on track and to possibly drive Jenna over to https://support.ccbill.com/, let's throw this off-the-wall idea out there:

Cash buying is currently not so great a deal, particularly since you can buy a certificate for $25 and sell it for even just $100,000 MnF bucks and still get a much better return on your investment that you would have if you simply bought $5000 MnF bucks for $5. How about taking a page out of Guild Wars 2 and Puzzle Pirates, and just buy something like MnF gold bars for it instead? You could use it as currency in exchange for unique outfits, poses, and of course MnF certificates. Add a gold market to the bank where you can put in buy/sell orders, and you've got something resembling a stable economy.

I think that's a marvelous idea too. Make in game cash worthless and the same people that won't buy a sub or in game cash won't by the new currency either and we all feel good about it or leave if we don't like it. I mean there are way to many premium players as it is and I'd much rather spend my evening with a non verbal newly created L1 wan sum fuk bb than an experienced player any day.

I thought the current trend was just getting PMs with just "SEX?" in them. That's better, right?

... Let me set aside my half-assed efforts at sarcasm and make this clear: I don't want to see you or anyone else abandoning premium out of dissatisfaction with the game. But if there are ways to put existing areas to better use, I'm all for making the attempt. And if there's a way to improve the microtransactions in this game, I'm all for making the attempt.

Obviously there are flaws in my plan and the rest of the plans in this thread, as with any suggestion thread. However, the apartment and cash purchases as well as the continued support of the code market as a whole are clear evidence to me that the devs want to more things in-game monetized, not less. If they're going to implement microtransactions, they might as well be getting their money's worth. And so should the players.

I understand the Dev's would prefer everyone to be Premium, which probably why Non-Prem players can't use the Bank.

So why not charge Non-Prem players a percentage to use the Bank.  For example 20%, with a minimum transfer of $1,000.  Which means to transfer $1,000 to another player, a Non-Prem player would need to pay an extra $200, so a total of $1,200.

I do have an idea for the Casino that would also impact the economy. Once poker is implemented as a competitive mini-game we'll need something to play for right?

The chips used could represent sex such as an oral chip, and a missionary chip and a doggie anal chip. They could even make exp chips. We'd have to have MM oral poses and FF oral poses and of course a FM doggie where the girls could use their strap ons.

Activating a chip would instantly pull the original owner from whatever they were doing and place them in bed with the winner of the chip to perform whatever had been bet and lost for 15 minutes. Of course the winner or holder of the chip would be in control of the pose.

We would also need a personals section/flea market to sell chips for those who might want to just sell theirs and for those that might want to sell what they have won. Chips could be sold at a set price or placed on a 24 hour auction.

Just think of it JCF *grins* would you be willing to call and bet your ass on those three kings you were holding if you thought I was bluffing? What are you going to do when Johnsins calls and he's holding 3 Aces? It could add some adventure to the game. Its just 15 minutes I'm sure it will be fun.

Sell the chips for MnF cash at $1000 for an exp chip for a 5 minute round, an oral chip for $5000, missionary sex for $10000 and the $25000 anal chip. Once they expand the size of our bios we could even list these trophies there until we cashed them in.

It sucks money out of the economy, gives an incentive to buy mnf cash and it gives everyone something new to do and watch in the casino as the card tables should allow players and spectators.

Yes it requires several ideas to be incorporated but it might be fun.
