Levels of Roleplay (For the ones who want to learn more)
#41
I guess I still don't understand the PM part of this....

I like to use the chat to Rp additional details of sex. I call it situational RP which I find different than RPinig a character that has certain desires and acting on them. I guess the bottom line is that situational Rp is what I would do in that situation, but character RP is what someone I'm controlling with a different personality than me would do. Maybe it's RPing what I would do in a situation I would never allow myself to be in?

It's fun exploring.

How do people find the best way to start an RP session?  I have approached some people, but it feels like they want to set-up a writing assignment with me.  And, well, I'm an English Teacher and that sorta feels like work.  Do people just kind of improvise into it, or do people find setting up those parameters are really important?  (I could understand in the sense of some of the sexual boundaries....)

*thumbs up* Hey, you're good. Your care of the idol gains you points.  I know that feeling of wanting to avoid over-planning. It seems like one thing to talk about what you like and another to maybe plan out a whole scenario etc.  I find the idea of just planning out some porn-scene tiresome and contrived (not that all planning is to such a level). I get that some really might want something so specific though.

A general outline is good. I like to know if someone will talk explicitly, but the word explicit even comes into question.

I see whole game as a RP, meaning that it allready started, when avatar is created.
When that is said, so was I somehow quiet first couple days, needed to find my place in world so to say. Accepted room invites and looked at animations.
Then my avatar growed up, started to talk and responded to actions when having sex. Did slow but sure getting an identity. Some part of that identity is real me, some part is dream or fantasy, some part was picked up on way.
I don't do other RP in game, than that I allready do/have. Tried once, it got way too wierd. But that dosen't mean, that my avatar is fully grown up. Not yet. There might come new locations with new things to do. New more or less useful items. New poses. that avatar like better. Not to mention interacting with other avatars.
In short - I leave RL in RL and I am my avatar in game.

Personally, i really like Fantasy RP with body modification (like growing dick or boobs etc).

A mix between the 3rd and 4th are the most satisfying. Most people don't need multi paragraph RPs to enjoy it, but you do need creative, charming, detailed replies to make the experience pleasurable and immersive. The writing skill matters. I find roleplayers much better at atmosphere and action-oriented stories as opposed to narrators and retelling events that happened in the past. I'm impressed by their level of quick actions and emotions through few phrases.
